Philippe Louis received his master’s degree in the Applied Economic Sciences – specialization Business Administration and Finance – magna cum laude from the University of Antwerp, Belgium, in 2009. He was awarded the prof. Pierre Wildiers price for most outstanding master dissertation in the Applied Economic Sciences, University of Antwerp. In 2010, he graduated cum laude as a MSc in Banking and Finance at Ghent University, Belgium.
In September 2010 he started his PhD, supervised by prof. Bart Baesens. His areas of specialization are credit risk, microfinance, survival analysis, and panel data. In 2011, he was a co-recipient of the special fund of the National Bank of Belgium.
